September 17-21

This week students are working hard to finish projects! 4th grade students are working on glue resist drawings showing use of foreground and background (pictured)! Kindergarten students finished a project using citrus fruits as stamps as an introduction to using paint and following directions (pictured)! Finished projects also include 1st grade Kandinsky inspired drawings! We also have some fresh projects starting up! 5th graders have already started their second project, 2nd grade has started some Andy Warhol inspired Pop Art pieces, and 3rd grade is learning about value and completing their first value scale as an introduction to Optical Illusion drawings! This year is off to a great start!

Welcome Back!

For those that don’t know me, My name is Hannah Dudek, I teach art at Howe elementary for Montessori, SCI, and SXI students and I’m at William Ford elementary for a half day during the week! I was new to the school and district last school year, this is my second year as an art teacher but I learned from the absolute best in the district and I can’t wait to show what I can do with this wonderful group of students and teachers! I plan on posting the great things that are happening with your students in the art room as well as information regarding the art department! Parents, please feel free to email me any time if you have any questions or concerns! I look forward to the rest of the school year!
