Don’t Forget!
I hope everyone is doing great and staying healthy! Seeing student work brightens my day! If you made any art work feel free to share it with me at dudekh@dearbornpublicschools.org and I’ll share it on my blog! Creating art is a great way to relieve stress! Drawing, coloring, painting, sculpting, chalk drawing, collaging; there are a million ways to create art! I enjoy water color painting! Here are a couple small watercolor paintings I have done! I can’t wait to see yours!

Free Draw Challenge Week 2!
These are not mandatory and do not have to be turned in to me so feel free to use these ideas as a starting point for other ideas! If you want, feel free to add color or even use a different medium like paint, digital drawings or even play dough if you are able! As usual, feel free to send me any great art work! I love seeing what students are making!

Origami!
In class, if students finish their work early they have a few options of things they can do! A crowd favorite has been the origami pages! Start by cutting or folding/tearing a sheet of paper into a square then follow the instructions! A thinner sheet of paper works better (sometimes construction paper is too thick). I have also attached a you tube link to some more challenging origami tutorials!

Color Wheel Scavenger Hunt
My pups are sure happy to have me home all the time but I’m sure everyone is getting just as stir crazy as I am! What better way to get moving than to have a scavenger hunt! Try finding objects around your house to create a found objects color wheel! Send a picture and I’ll be sure to share it on my blog!

Don’t Forget the Art!
I hope everyone is at home staying safe and healthy! I know students are busy reading and staying up to date on school work as best they can! I will do my best to continue to add content on my blog for these next crazy weeks so students have some fun art work they can create!
Below I have attached 2 links!
The first is a YouTube channel called “Art for Kids Hub.” They have hundreds of videos showing step by step how to draw different cartoons, objects, animals, and more all at different difficulty levels!
The second link is to a channel of Bob Ross painting videos! These are full episodes that are great to just watch and relax OR if the supplies are available to you, they are a great challenge to paint along to!
