NEA Big Read Launch

Today (October 14) was this year’s Big Read Launch.

We’ve been lucky enough to make this an annual tradition in the City of Dearborn due to being awarded the grants which fund the program.

This year’s book is “Lab Girl”

Today’s program was a wonderful kick-off with representatives from the City and U of M – Dearborn where the event was held today (Environmental Interpretive Center).

Proud to be Vice-Chair of the Library Commission!

Cipriano Run 2019

Today was the annual Cipriano Cross Country Meet.

Even though the weather was inclement 850 student runners across grades 4-8 participated.

Additionally, there was a huge turn-out of parents, community members and district personnel present in support of the runners!

It was a huge honor to hand out the medals to the students who finished 1-10 in their respective categories!

Open Streets Dearborn

Today was the first ever Open Streets Dearborn which is an initiative of the Healthy Dearborn Coalition.

The Streets were closed down to car traffic and Community members could be seen having fun in a variety of different ways and the event was supported by multiple community partners running different attractions.

What a great time!
