Today was the launch of our new location for our Special Needs Swim Program.
The students’ new swimming venue will now be the City of Dearborn’s Ford Community and Performing Arts Center Pool.
This is an excellent new partnership between the Schools and the City. I truly appreciate all of the support and hard work of officials from both the City and the Schools who worked with me to make this a reality.
The success of our first day and the smiles on the students faces both in the pool and in the lobby enjoying lunch made it all worth it.
Thank you everyone for the outstanding new partnership and continued shared services!!
Tonight was the 34th Annual City of Dearborn Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and Sing-Along
A very fun community and family event.
We had a special guest student from the Dearborn Schools light the official tree tonight!
Today was the annual Empty Bowls fundraiser put on by the Dearborn Public Schools Art Department.
It benefits those in need and who are hungry during the holiday season.
This is the 28th year of the event – always an enjoyable time for a great cause!
We spent some time today visiting with some local heroes when we donated new toys and a Christmas tree to the Firefighters Burn Drive.
The Burn Drive brightens the holiday season for children and families in need by providing these items to local community members. They’re always looking for more donations….
Giving does good and it feels good 👍
