With some special added activities donated by the Dearborn PTSA!

The annual City of Dearborn Memorial Day Parade took place this morning per tradition.

A wonderful event that brings together local community organizations and partnerships.

All of the Dearborn Public Schools Bands sounded great!!

It was awesome to see some of my current and former students marching in the parade!!

A Memorial Day tradition in Dearborn – the NDSD Annual Dance Recital held at the Dearborn Performing Arts Center.

All of the performances were outstanding – congratulations to all of the dancers and a very happy birthday to Noretta!!

I’m proud to be a graduate and a professor at Wayne State University as we celebrate our 150th Anniversary!!

Last evening the Healthy Dearborn Coalition held the Inclusive Health Walk led by Tameka Spruce.

It was a fantastic event full of community partnerships that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

I’m honored that Mr. Esseily asked me to sit on this Coalition that encompasses so many of the organizations that I am involved with.

Students take their acquired Bean Bag Bocce skills outside for a match of horseshoes in the wonderful weather!

The inclement weather kept us inside today at Edsel Ford for a riveting game of Bean Bag Bocce!

Students utilized the skills we learned during the corn hole tournament at the EF POHI Senior Picnic this past Wednesday.

Adding excitement to the competition with a scoreboard!!

Come out to support and participate in the upcoming Healthy Dearborn Walk and Roll on May 16.

The Walk and Rolls take place on Wednesday evenings but this particular one is special to us because it is hosted by People with Disabilities.

I was proud that Great-Grandma’s cookie recipe made the Big Read Cook Book and we were lucky enough to win a prize for it!

Nada also got lucky and won a Big Read t-shirt she’s wanted in today’s raffle:
