I always love receiving visits from former students.  Yesterday, one of my former Edsel Ford students – Abdul – stopped in to say hello.  He is also a graduate of Project Search at HFC and is now employed!

Our Healthy Dearborn Coalition assembled for the September meeting at the City of Dearborn Administrative Center.  The Partnership between our District and the City proclaiming this to be the YEAR OF HEALTH was again highlighted.

Specific to our Inclusive Health Committee we began working on action steps to create and compile a least of healthy resources for special needs individuals in our community.

Saturday proved to be an excellent time representing the District with Dr. Maleyko at the Arab American and Chaldean Council Civic & Humanitarian Awards Gala held at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center.

The YEAR OF HEALTH!!

An awesome collaboration between the City, the Dearborn Public Schools, and Beaumont Health.  I’m proud to be a City Commissioner, Dearborn Schools Educator, and a member of the Healthy Dearborn Coalition! There was great support present this Tuesday from across the community and Dr. Maleyko spoke to highlight some of the fantastic things the school system is doing to facilitate this initiative!
