Mid – Winter Fun
There is nothing like an expression of appreciation from a student to warm a teacher’s heart. The mid-winter break started out on a high note when I received a Valentine from a dear student. I also had the great opportunity of attending the Hype Athletics Daddy Daughter Dance with my daughter, this was the first Daddy Daughter dance of hopefully many. We also enjoyed a family Valentine’s night dinner! I hope that your mid-winter break was restful and full of family, friends, and fun.
Big Read Kick Off!
As both a Dearborn Public Schools educator and Commissioner of the Dearborn Public Library Board, it was great to see the tremendous turnout and support of this partnership. The kickoff featured Dearborn students and Members of the Dearborn Symphony. Be sure to check out this year’s Big Read Calendar of Events for fun and educational activities…”Do You Know Poe?”

Lebanese Student Association 4th Annual Unified Gala
It was an honor to attend the Lebanese Student Association 4th Annual Unified Gala hosted by the Lebanese Student Association members from Wayne State and the University of Michigan – (Ann Arbor and Dearborn) to promote heritage, culture, and education. The highlight for me as an educator was talking with my many previous students in attendance who have grown into such fine young adults and being humbled that they credited me in playing a role in their success. I wish them all continued achievement and accomplishment.
Edsel Ford Students Show They Have Game!
Students at Edsel had fun while shooting hoops and practicing skills during their basketball unit.

Happy Holidays!
Another demonstration of the student talent and great programs at Dearborn Public Schools. The Dearborn High School Choir entertained Christmas Brunch attendees at the Dearborn Country Club this weekend! All of those present clapped along and enjoyed the Christmas Carols and the Choir put a smile on everyone’s face. Awesome Job!
On that note, I hope all of your families have a beautiful holiday and may the blessings and joy of the season be with you and your families!
