“Life After High School” Guest Speaker
I arranged for Brian Rooke, former Edsel Ford student and current Henry Ford College student to present to my students at EF about life after high school. Brian offered a power point presentation that he developed and then candidly answered questions from students that subsequently developed as well as questions that students had prepared ahead of time as part of one of their assignments. Some of the major topics discussed all centering around the theme of responsibility were: what is college like (how is it different than high school)?, living on your own and paying bills, and expanding your interests and horizons to grow as an individual. It was a great experience for all!
