In an effort to promote early literacy the Dearborn Public Library is running a great program encouraging parents and family members to read with their children with the ultimate goal being reading 1000 books before they enter Kindergarten.

Children and families keep track of the number of books read with their child in the program booklet they are given. Children then receive prizes and acknowledgements for evey hundred books they read along the way.
