Math.   More notes and practice on combining like terms.   The worksheet about going to McDonald’s and ordering food is the homework sheet.   Finish it up.

Work on Khan Academy in your RIT range.     Let’s improve our NWEA scores

Science:  Students finished their test from yesterday and started working on a new CER.  This is to be completed for Homework.  Remember to show evidence from the book.

Math:   we started distributed property and combining like terms.    HW was to finish the front side of the paper.  We’ll continue on the back together tomorrow for more practice before doing independent practice.

Science:  quiz today, we’ll finish it tomorrow  (remember the steps to finding volume of an irregular solid and the units)     Started the GR for 1.2, but it was not homework.  We’re working on that in groups.

Glad to see everyone come out for Academic Games. No practice tomorrow (Friday)  Practice Tues, Wed, Thurs and Friday next week.   First Tournament is Nov 30.    Watch the video by clicking on the live link on the homepage of my blog that says “Academic Games.”

Wayne County Regional Enhancement Education Millage Proposal

 

School districts in Wayne County have placed a proposal on the November 8th ballot to provide added funding for our schools. It is the “Regional Enhancement Millage Proposal.”

If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools.  Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years.  Continue reading

What a fun week.  Spirit Week and a field trip.

Monday 7th graders wore red.  Our team (100%) came to school wearing  black and white with a splash of Red.  That’s team spirit!!!

Tuesday was Mix and Match day.  Sorry, but I didn’t get as many pictures of students that day.

Thursday was Dress like a Farmer.   Fun.   Who knows the famous painting the Mr. Lacroix and I are depicting in the picture?

Friday was a field trip to Greenfield Village.  42 students and 7 parents joined us. We could wear costumes if we wanted too.  Mr. Lacroix was Sherlock Holmes and Ms. Dowgiallo was Colonel Sanders from Kentucky Fried Chicken.
