Do you know a 4 year old?


Attention: Families with Preschool age children who are 4 years of age by December 1, 2017.  There is an immediate possibility of free full-day preschool beginning in January 2018 in the Dearborn Public Schools (next month). The family must be eligible based on risk factors and not currently enrolled in a GSRP program.  If interested, families may pick up an application at the Cotter Early Childhood Center, 13020 Osborn or call Nadia Berry at 313-827-6150.

Please respond immediately as slots are limited. Families must live in the city of Dearborn.

Students completed an assignment on line in google classroom.  What is an Orbit?   Today we discussed questions they generated from the article.  Homework was, ON A SEPARATE PIECE OF PAPER, answer 5 of the 7 question generated by your class. (the Questions are slightly different according to class. )  Tomorrow we will work on vocabulary words.

Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council  (come talk to me if you’re interested)

Dr. Maleyko has an exciting opportunity to extend to our middle school students for the 2017-18 school year. He is expanding the concept of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council (SSAC) to include middle school students and the Executive Directors. The purpose of the Superintendent & Executive Directors’s Student Advisory Council (SEDSAC) is to provide leadership opportunities for 7th and 8th grade students with a focus on community service, social issues that impact their education and overall district related concerns. The first meeting for the SEDSAC will convene December 6, 2017 but the on-line application process begins tomorrow. Students may apply if they meet the following criteria: (1) Excellent attendance (2) 2.5 G.P.A. or higher (3) Willing to collaborate with fellow students (4) Demonstrate problem solving, creative thinking, initiative, and a desire to make positive change (5) Exhibit communication & presentation skills (6) Adhere to the policies in the District Student Code of Conduct (7) Attend monthly meetings during the school day and balance your academics (8) You are in the 7th or 8th grade.
