Our next Geer Park mathathon will be on Thursday. They will be given 50 addition and subtraction problems (25 of each) to solve in 6 minutes. Today I gave them a practice mathathon test. They will be bringing this home today so you can see how they did on the practice test.

The PTA is having the holiday shop open all week in the media center. Students will be able to purchase items at the holiday shop.

The students were given the directions for their geometric animal assignment. The project and the descriptive writing is due on the Monday we return from Winter Break. This week students need to turn in the assignment sheet with their promises and how you will help them. Please have this sheet returned to school by Wednesday.

The Henry Ford Centennial Library has a used book sale on the first Wednesday of each month. They are having a sale today. Usually they have many children’s books for sale for $0.25- $0.50. This is a great way go buy inexpensive books for your child.

This week, December 2nd and December 4th menus for first choice will flip flop. We will have hummus and pita on Tuesday and fish tacos on Thursday.
