Class News

Field Trip-

On Monday May 16 the third grade classes are going on a field trip to the Henry Ford Museum.  Students brought home the permission slips today.  The cost for the trip is $10.  Please return the permission slips by Wednesday, May 11.

Class Privileges-

We are using a point system to earn end of the year privileges.  A note went home about this on Tuesday.  Students can earn three points a day, one for homework completed and planner signed, another point for classwork completed, and a third point for being on green.   They need to earn points to be able to go on the field trip, attend the teachers vs. fifth graders kickball game, and to attend field day.  I stapled a calendar in the front cover of their planner where I am recording their points each day.    Please check this every night to encourage your child.

Multiplication-

We have been taking timed multiplication tests daily.  Students should be bringing these home.  When students pass one number, they go on to the next number.  On June first, Geer Park 3-5 graders will be having a math competition with Salina and William Ford schools.  Third graders will be competing in multiplication facts.  Students will need to know up to their 12s.
