Math- We finished our unit on time and graphing. The test will be on Monday. Students will need to know how to tell time on an analog clock, figure out elapsed time, read a graph, and answer questions about a graph.
Social Studies- We are finishing our unit on Michigan geography. We will be taking the district assessment on this later next week. A study guide will be going home on Monday.
Halloween- Geer Park will be having our Halloween parade on Friday October 28. A note went home earlier this week with details. We are asking families to bring in bags of candy for the parade.
Picture day is Wednesday October 26. Box tops are also due on that day.
Picture day is Wednesday, October 26. Students brought home an order form yesterday.
As the school year goes on, we will be using computers more often. It would be helpful if students had their own pairs of headphones. I recently saw some at Five Below. When students bring in headphones, I will label the headphones for them. They will be the only ones using their headphones.
Thank you for your support.

On Monday October 10 from 12:55-1:30 I will be holding a parent data meeting. The meeting will take place in room 209. I will be sharing with you NWEA scores for reading, math, language, and science. I will be also sharing reading and writing scores. You will be able to see how your child is doing in each of these areas. Please do your best to attend this meeting. I hope to see you there!
Students are bringing home papers this week titled My Learning Plan. On these papers they are writing their goals for the year and how they will work to achieve these goals. Please review the goals with your child. There is a parent part where you will write down your promise to help them and a part for you to sign. Please return with your child the next day.
Today in class the students labeled a map with the five Great Lakes and Michigan’s two peninsulas. There will be a quiz on this on Friday. Students are bringing home their social studies notebooks today. Please help them study.
