On Tuesday November 29, students will have a social studies test.  They brought their social studies notebooks home today.  They will need to know the difference between a primary source and a secondary source and be able to give examples of each.  Students will also need to know the Native American groups that lived in Michigan.  They will also need to know about the French coming to Michigan.

School districts in Wayne County have placed a proposal on the November 8^th ballot to provide added funding for our schools. It is the “Regional Enhancement Millage Proposal.”

If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools.  Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years.  (more…)

On Thursday the students will have a science test.  It will be on forces, motion, gravity, pushes, pulls, and friction.  Students brought home a study guide today to study from.

There will be a Geer Park parent meeting on Wednesday November 2 from 9:00-11:00.  The meeting will go over the following:
*Gmail- create a gmail account, signing into Google, creating bookmarks
*Blogs- Geer Park and Teacher blogs
*Clever link: Getting onto MyOn, MobyMax, and Khan Academy
*Other sights such as Brainpop, Tumble Books and Study Island.
