Today I sent home a letter introducing myself, the third grade supply list, and instructions on how to connect to Remind. Along with this blog, I use Remind inform parents of any classroom information that they may need.

All kindergarten and young 5 students are invited to Jump Start, Monday, August 19, 9:00-12:00.

9:15 – 10:55 Specials Class Rotations  (music, gym, art)

9:15 – 9:45 Principal Presentation for Parents

11:00 – 11:55 Student/Parent activities in Gym / Parents meet children in HR

12:00 Sign out and dismissal

• Parents are free to leave from 9:45 – 11:00 or may stay in the Media Center

Names were picked today for chaperones for the Diamond Jack Boat  trip.   Names in green were picked to be chaperones from the lottery.  Names in red are on the waitlist.  Once we have a more accurate number of students going, we may have more chaperone spots open up.  You will be notified in the order listed below.

Students will be taking the language NWEA on Monday.   They will also be taking the math NWEA next week.

Attention Geer Park Families:
Geer Park will be raising money for The Children of Yemen charity.  We will be doing this with a little friendly competition with nothing else, but…THE GEER PARK PENNY WAR!!!!!!  Be sure to bring all pennies for your own class and silver coins/dollars for all the other class buckets!  The Penny War will end May 22.
Our main goal is to give back to others less fortunate than we are…however, the winning class will get to enjoy a pizza party!!

M-Step and NWEA
Monday students who are taking M-Step on the computer will be taking the math portion of M-Step.  We will also begin NWEA testing this week.
