March is Reading Month

Happy March is Reading Month!

Yesterday a calendar went home.  On one side are the PTA events and on the other are the reading month events.  Please hang on to this calendar as there is a lot of information on it.

Today I sent home a reading log.  We are doing a school wide reading competition to see which class reads the most!  As students read daily, they are to fill in the minutes on the reading log. Please initial the reading log each day.  They also must do a very short reading response.   For every 30 minutes read, students can color in one of the sports objects on the back.  Please have students return the reading log every Friday.  I will be counting how many of the pictures the class has colored in every Friday.  Each Friday I will be giving a new reading log for the following week.
