Good morning,
I hope all of you have had a relaxing and safe week. I will be looking to check all work assigned this week sometime today. I will post next week’s assignments sometime on Sunday. This will be the routine. Assign on Sunday / check on Friday. If you could please send me a quick email letting me know that you are receiving the blog information and understand and are working on assignments, it will give me a better idea of how many students have access to a computer and are able to use links / complete assignments. Remote Learning / IBlog Use
Hello,
To begin, I hope all of you are are doing well and taking all the precautions necessary to keep yourself safe and informed in regards to the current situation. In the meantime, I will be using my Blog site to give you information about programs we will be using.
Currently, we have all students signed up for:
MobyMax – each student has been sent a link to access and have been asked to complete approximately 90+ minutes per week
IXL: – I will be assigning certain topics weekly ( Certain ones for my ELA class, others specifically for my Social Studies class)
Newsela: I am currently trying to set up a Newsela acct – I will either pass along information on how to access and use this program, or I will post the article as well as the assignment / quiz for each article
CNN10 – I will be sharing specific dated videos along with a notes sheet to fill out as you watch the videos – I will be assigning @ 2-3 videos a week – please use the google doc I will be sharing (make sure you “make a copy”of it for your own use for each new video and share it with me to be able to turn in when you are complete.)
Article of the Week: I may also be posting an Article of the Week for the students to read and respond to using, again, a google doc. and share it with me.
In using these programs / sites, Im hoping the students will continue their learning process in absence of being able to attending school.
