Dear First Grade Families,                                                         2-3-14

On Friday, February 14, 2014, we will be having our classroom Valentine’s Day party.  Students can bring a valentine card for each student in the class, if you wish to participate.  We have a total of 19 students.  There are 12 girls and 7 boys in our class.  I will be sending home more information about our Valentine’s Day party soon.

Writing lessons this week will continue to focus on a personal narrative or experience story.

Unit 4 Math lessons include addition; subtraction; telling time; and measuring.

Social Studies lessons focus on the study of economics.  Students are learning to identify needs, wants, goods, services, producers and consumers.

Science lessons involve the study of weather and the four seasons.

Reminders:  Read for homework 15 minutes or more; Spelling test Friday; Gym on Friday; Return library books Friday.
