Agenda for the Week

Spelling Words for our next spelling test on 4/12: where, out, now, sip, lip, dip, slip, ship, chip

Plus a bonus word which will be one of the following words: grip, rip

These words will be in the homework which will come home on Monday after break!

Reading and Writing: This week we focused on middle sounds using short and long vowels. This helps the children to read and write by decoding words more easily.

Math: The children took their – 1 math test today! Next week, we will focus on learning -2 math facts. Our test will be on Friday, April 12th.

Science: When we return from break we will begin our ocean unit!

Social Studies: When we return from break we will begin learning about democracy and rights.

Housekeeping Items:

Money: Please make sure to send money in an envelope or baggie labeled with your child’s name and what the money will be used for. Thank you for your help!

Spelling booklets: Please be sure to return these promptly on Tuesday!

Snack Time

**** Due to a peanut allergy in our room, please do not send in any snacks that contain nuts.*****

Folders

Please make sure to empty the green folders each night! It is very difficult and time consuming to locate homework or important notes when the folder is full of papers from the day before. Remember to initial the communication log and feel free to add any notes to me!
