Good morning! I hope you all had a good Wednesday. Mr. Dearth and I were able to take Brooklynn on a long walk. It was cool out, but not bad. Today, for Spirit Week, is Sock it to Corona-Crazy Sock Day! Get those crazy socks out because I want to see them. Remember to space out your time while doing your school work. You don’t have to do it all at once. Work for a while then take a break, then back at it.
Again, I need to remind you to complete your work. Many of you are not doing your daily classwork, or choosing to only do certain activities. Our governor and superintendent have said we need to keep up with our work. Remote learning counts for being in school, so we need to complete our activities as if we were in the classroom. 6th grade is just around the corner!
Math-complete the Mid-Mod in Classroom. Do your best!

SS/Read-complete these activities in the following order. 1)Read Boston Massacre in Classroom then answer the questions. Highlight the text where you found each answer. 2) Read Online SS textbook pages 122-124; 3)watch Video A & B(if it will let you); 4) Reread your book pages 294-5; 5) create a timeline of 4-5 important events that let up to the Massacre.
Writing-read the passages to determine the figurative language being used. When writing your explanation, be specific. Use details.
Language-using the adjectives more and most. Complete the activity in Classroom making sure you review how to use these adjectives correctly.
Read Aloud-listen to chapters 19 & 20. Read the prompt & respond in Classroom.
IXL– do, at least, your daily practice of 20 minutes. Many of you are not doing your daily practice. You must keep practicing your learned skills. Remember we are practicing math and language arts; scroll through these topics to see all the starred activities. I also starred a couple more coordinate grid activities in math that I think you will find fun to do.
