Howard Art Student (ALL)Parents,
Due to the Governor’s order to close schools, here are some resources and lessons that we will be using to ensure that learning is continuing at this time. This will include daily reading, writing, math, and other content areas over this next month. Students have shown so much growth and progress this year, and we don’t want to jeopardize how far they’ve come. Please take care of your family, we are hoping everyone stays healthy and that this passes quickly.
Here are the two ways we will stay in communication:
Blog
- Mrs. Thomas thomass@dearbornschools.org
Remind/or class dojo
- NO REMIND OR DOJO for ART
40 Days of Drawing found on my blog with instructions. Grades K-2 and 4-5 have 90 minutes of art per week. Grade 3 has 45 minutes of art per week. Have your artist spend that much time working from any of these 3 options. Of course, parents, you are allowed to assign them MORE ART than the allotment we have at school! The only wrong answer on any of the lessons I have provided is poor or no effort! Have your artist label each lesson with their name on the back before bringing it back to school with them when we return. More info on my blog.!
We all must work together as a team to make sure that community health is made a priority and ensure that students continue on with critical learning.
Thank you for being a partner in your child’s education.
