Foldable – Filled Out…..Points, Lines, and Planes Foldable

Practice….Practice 1 – Points, planes, lines

Today in class we talked about how to symbolically represent points, lines, line segments, and rays along with discussing how to define a plane.  Students created a foldable note sheet with diagrams and symbols and began working on the points, lines, and planes practice assignment.  This assignment was not finished and will be completed during the next class period.  Feel free to look at it tonight to be familiar with the questions.

Points, Lines, and Planes Slides

Content Objective:  Students will be able to explain and apply the precise definition of line segments, rays, collinear points, and coplanar points using the undefined notions of points, lines, and planes -by completing a points, lines, and planes foldable.

Language Objective:  Students will be able to write definitions of line segments, rays, collinear points, and coplanar points using the undefined notions of points, lines, and planes.

Today we came up with a description of our three undefined terms (points, lines and planes) and used those terms to define line segments, rays, collinear points, and coplanar points.
