Students will be working on typing their final drafts.
End of the Semester
Happy New Year
I hope everyone had a wonderful and restful break. Back to school means back to work which can be difficult after being out of the routine for a couple of weeks. However, with NWEA testing starting this week and other subjects wrapping up we will be back ready to go first thing! We will have a math quiz on Thursday to review what we did just before break and reviewing this week up until the quiz. Students were doing great before break and it should be easy to jump back into. We start NWEA Friday and take one test next week and one the following week as well.
Next week is already the end of Marking Period 2. We will have a midterm to review common parts for subjects.

December Is Here!
As always another month came quickly and left quickly. Students have been busy and working hard towards all of their goals.
We are in the middle of reading our Graphic novel for Language arts, The Christmas Carol. They are really enjoy it and doing great at understanding the theme, main idea, and making connections with the main character, Mr. Scrooge. We will continue that over the next couple of weeks. Please look for a permission slip to go home that allows us to watch the movie during the week of December 16th. We will watch it and then compare and contrast the movie to the book. We will watch the Disney version that is rated PG.
This Thursday our 7th graders also have the opportunity to go to Wayne State to see the play The Christmas Carol. They will have an opportunity to use this to compare to our novel as well.
We will be testing on Wednesday in math on integers and starting our new unit on ratios afterwards.
We are wrapping up our Photosynthesis unit and will test on that early next week.
In Social Studies we are continuing our famous people study of the Civil War. We will work on this up until our December break. We are doing many different activities tied to the famous people of the civil war. As we dive into the civil war battles and other important events afterwards the students will already have an understanding of what these people did to help further their knowledge.
