Google Meet Change- Starting Monday- I will be changing how I meet with students. I want to break up the class in 2 groups. This way I can reach all learners! So, look for a schedule Sunday of what day your child will be scheduled for their Google Meet. For example, Group A- will meet on Monday and Wednesday. Group B- will meet on Tuesday and Thursday. Fridayś will be whole group-for SEL (Social Emotional Learning). The Google Meets will be at the same time 11:30 a.m. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for your support.
Parents- I would like to hold a meeting to discuss the new expectations from the district with the continuity remote learning plan. Items include student & family expectations, weekly lessons, Google meets, participation and grading! We will have this Google Meet on Tuesday April 21st at 4:00 p.m. I will email each parent with the link to join on Tuesday morning. If you can not attend, please let me know.
I appreciate everyoneś patience and support during this time. It was so wonderful to see all your kids yesterday, it truly makes my days brighter! I am so proud of the work the students are doing and asking questions during our meeting. Keep up the great work!

Happy Wednesday!
New assigments posted:
ELA- We are taking a short break from the pilot and reading about Henry Ford & answering questions.
Continue reading 30-45 minutes a day and keeping track on your reading logs. Do NOT forget about spelling.
Math- Check your answers for lesson 7- New assignment for lesson 8.
Continue working on Zearn lessons.
Social Studies- Growth of Michigan Part 2-Lesson 5- Google Slide show with the assignment embedded.
Families- I will continue attending daily professional development for numerous hours at a time this week. We are working on the district’s draft continuity remote learning plan. Once this is finalized, I will be communicating with all of you the changes such as grading, office hours, time on tasks, and new expectations. One change is, I will be taking attendance at every Google Meet and we will be communicating this with Ms. Tiba. As of right now, we will have our next Google meet tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. More info on what classroom I will be posting the link in later today.
If your child turned in their assignments late-I will be checking this in, over the next couple days.

This week at a glance 4/13-4/17.
Good afternoon families~ Happy Easter & Passover to those who celebrate. I hope everyone had a nice relaxing break. For some reason, the week went by fast..:)
On 4/20- a revised continuity of distant learning plan (district wide) will be implemented. Many teachers across the district have been working on this “new” plan. I will share with you details once they are solidified & presented to me. This distant learning plan is in response to the Governor asking districts to close for the remainder of the school year and it to be implemented this month. Please check Dr. Maleyko’s blog for a more detailed explanation. He sent a memo Thursday.
I will post new assignments tomorrow in Spelling, ELA, Math (Lesson 7), Writer’s Workshop (which will have 2 assignments- the chain letter directions and a prompt for the week).
Our next Google Meet-ups will be Tuesday 4/14 & Thursday 4/16 @ 11:30 a.m. I will post which classroom and materials needed tomorrow afternoon on my blog. Then on the day we meet, I will post the link a couple minutes before 11:30 a.m.

Friday-update 3.3.20
Good evening~Happy official Spring Break!
- I will post addresses and chain letter instructions after Spring Break. It will be part of an assignment.
- Report card grades will be posted on Monday, April 6th. Please refer to the Lindbergh blog on how to retrieve these grades through Parent Connect.
- CONGRATS to our class for having the highest participation with logging on to the Pearson Site ( ELA Pilot)! Since we can not have a physical pizza party, they are offering all my families this!
Call Pizza Palace between the hours of noon and 8pm on either Monday, April 6th or Tuesday, April 7th to order and pick up one large cheese pizza. Ali, the owner will have a list of all of the students. The parents/students must provide their student’s name when ordering ahead and picking up the pizza. I just want to thank each and everyone of you for being patient and supportive during a time of much uncertainty. I am grateful to have been given the gift of you and your children. They are my blessings!
