Today….5/15/18

Posted by Danielle Currie on May 15, 2018 in Class News |
Reminder tomorrow is a Late Start-5/16/18
Read below info about Spring Planting and the Clean-Up Parade.
Just a reminder that Spring flower-planting scheduled for today and Wednesday will be rescheduled!
The weather was calling for storms today, so we’ll plant flowers when the forecast is brighter.
New dates will be announced as soon as they’re determined.  Thank you for your flexibility.
The good news is that Thursday, May 17th, looks like a beautiful day for the Clean-Up Parade!  The City Beautiful Commission is asking students to design and make their own posters or banners to carry in the parade and to wear their Lindbergh shirts or school colors.  The theme this year is Dearborn Pride:  Clean-up, Paint-up, Fix-up.  Please have posters and banners at school by Wednesday, May 16th.  The parade begins on Thursday at 1:30 PM at the school!

Dearborn is excited to host a STEAM Solutions Vendor Expo at EFHS on Tuesday, June 5, 2:45-6:00 PM.

There’s a whole world of new and fabulous STEAM solutions out there!  All Dearborn schools (PK-12) are invited to form a  team of administrators and teachers to participate in hands-on demonstrations of STEAM-related software and programs, including virtual reality (zSpace), LEGO and STMath.

This Expo will support our STEAM Vision Committee that you were all invited recently to join.
Hope to see you at either or both events!

Spring flower-planting is Tuesday and Wednesday, May 15th and 16th, throughout the day.  Your student’s teacher will let you know their scheduled date and planting time, or you can contact them if you’d like to plan ahead to join them!  We welcome anyone to come help out and beautify our school!
Hey, Flyers!  It’s Box Tops Collection time!

Lindbergh Elementary is collecting Box Tops to raise money for our school.  Did you know that some local schools raise thousands of dollars for their schools each year, just by clipping and submitting Box Tops?  Box Tops can be found on many General Mills products, as well as hundreds of others (complete list at www.boxtops4education.com).

Its easy to participate!  All you have to do is cut the Box Tops off the package and affix them to the sheets sent home with students last week OR you can place them in a baggie in groups of 50.  **Please do not send in expired Box Tops or Campbell’s Soup labels, which are no longer valid.

Remember that each Box Top is worth 10 cents–they add up quickly!

The classroom that collects the most Box Tops by Friday, May 18th, will win a special surprise for the class!

Sincerely, Joslyn Lazarevski and Felicia Miller, Box Top Chairs, Lindbergh PTA
