Writing~ Finish Opinion writing by revising and editing submissions that are in the I-learn course.

Reading~ Literature discussion groups- questions will be assigned.

Math~

4th- End of Module Assessment

5th- Continue multiplying multi-digit numbers.

Social Studies~

Both grades~ Academic vocabulary and begin to research for travel brochures.

Science~ Both grades-mystery.

Leader in Me~ Reflection journals and accountability buddies!

PTA REQUEST 11/15/18

The PTA needs your help!!!!
We could still use a few more donations for our conference dinner tonight.  We would love to provide a feast for our teachers if you have time to make/bake/buy anything that would be amazing.  We are hoping to make this long day a little easier with a full stomach.  Please have all items either outside the office/ or food items can be put in the teachers lounge by 3pm.  Check out the sign up genius and let us know what you can bring.

Good morning families~

Happy Veteran’s Day!

I wanted to thank all of you who were part of Lindbergh’s Holiday Boutique! There is so much “behind the scenes” work that goes into this yearly tradition, which continues to make this a HUGE success! I enjoyed being there with my family and seeing all of you!

ELA~

Book Projects due!

Writing~ Students are using I-Learn with Mrs. Gwizdz to write their Opinion essays.

Spelling week-#9.

Auggie & Me- Part 2- Pluto.

Math~

4th- Module 2-Lesson 4-6

5th- Module 2- Mid-Module Assessment this week on Multi-digit multiplication.

Social Studies~

I will introduce to both grades their Project Based Learning activity.

Science~
Both grades will complete Mystery 1.

Leader in Me~

Habit 2- Begin with the End in MInd….

Students will continue to work in their E-portfolios. They will begin writing reflections once a week in regards to their academic goals.

This is one of the biggest events for our school and the proceeds directly benefit our children. Many volunteers are needed to make this event successful. Please review the volunteer opportunities and sign up for the time(s) that work best for you. Any time you can give is greatly appreciated!(As a volunteer you will not be charged admission and will be on the master list at the admission table. Please check in upon arrival.

Welcome to our class for two weeks- Mrs. Amy Gwizdz. Mrs. Gwizdz is our tech coach for the district. She rotates to different elementary schools and co-teaches with teachers. She comes with a vast amount of knowledge and I highly look forward to her working with us during these next couple weeks!!!  We will be sharpening our tech knowledge!

Eureka Math Parent Workshop
Please join us in learning more about the new math curriculum that has been implemented this year. The workshop will include general information on Eureka math, how it aligns to the Common Core State Standards, and resources for you to utilize and access from home to help your child.
We have included two dates to accommodate as many people as possible. Both workshops will include the same information and will be held in Lindbergh’s Media Center.  Hope to see you there!

Reminders!! 11/1/18

Good afternoon families~

 

Thank you all for making our Halloween party a success. The students had a great time!!

Please read through this entire blog post-many important things going on.

ELA~ Reading Logs are due as of today! Please make sure your child turns them in by tomorrow so they can receive a grade on the report card. Thank you to those that have already turned them in.

Math~ 4th grade has an assessment tomorrow on Module 1. We have been prepping in class, and all of them seem ready.

Science~ Both grades will have a science academic vocabulary quiz tomorrow. Students are to study their notes.

Social Studies~ 5th grade Three Worlds Meet- assessment tomorrow.

 

1/2 day tomorrow 11:45 a.m. dismissal-End of the first marking period.

RAFFLE TICKETS ARE DUE TOMORROW!  PLEASE TURN IN ALL SOLD/UNSOLD TICKETS TO YOUR TEACHER!!! If you decide that selling isn’t for you, a donation can be made as well to help our school and students reach their fundraising goal.  This fundraiser allows us to only have one fundraiser a year for all of our amazing events that our PTA is able to provide, as well as extras such as our GAGA ball pit, soon to be new water fountains/bottle fill stations, reading kits and so much more.
