Good evening families~

I hope this reaches everyone well. We survived the first full day!!! I am sure the students are exhausted.

Please complete any paperwork by Thursday. Thank you to those for completing these papers in a timely manner.

A couple reminders:

Please make sure your child has a hearty breakfast and brings in a healthy snack. We do not have lunch until 12:20 p.m. It’s quite a long time from 8:30-12:20.

We have P.E. tomorrow!

Join your PTA! Lindbergh has an outstanding PTA that provides so many educational and fun events for our school.

The students will be taking home a Paper Bag activity tomorrow, please have them complete this as soon as possible. I would like them to start sharing on Thursday.

Dates to remember:

No school- Friday, August 30th & Sept. 2nd Happy Labor Day!

Scholastic Book Fair-Sept. 10-12th Noon-4. It will be open during Open House too!

9/12- Open House 6-7:30 p.m.

9/23- Mobile Dentist permission slips due. These slips will be sent home tomorrow.

9/26- Picture Day!

Today is Monday, August 26, 2019.

Good evening families!
What a great morning meeting and getting to know your children. It was quite busy as well.

Today the students took home the 3rd grade Welcome packet, explaining procedures and FYI’s. Also, a note explaining punch cards, planners, BYOD permission slip

(Bring your own device) and classroom volunteers. Thank you for reading all of this and returning the notes in a timely matter. There will be more notes coming home all week.

Welcome Back, Lindbergh Parents!

We are so excited that school is back!
Just a couple friendly reminders from your PTA for our first day back:

1. The first day back is always full of excitement, but please remember to be extra cautious during drop off and pickup.
Get there early, as parking is usually crazy! 

2. Remember to check in with Ms. Pina in the office to make sure your background check is not expired. These are good for 3 years. Anyone wanting to volunteer for field trips or come into school, needs to have one on file. 

3. If you ordered a 1st Day School Supply Kit online for your student, the kits will be delivered the 26th or 27th. They will be given to your student’s classroom the day they arrive. 

4. Our FIRST PTA Meeting is Tuesday, September 3rd at 7 PM. We have some great plans this year which we will be announcing at our first meeting!

Welcome to Mrs. Currie’s 3rd Grade 2019-2020!

I hope everyone had a great summer!!

I can not wait to meet each of you on Monday, August 26, 2019!

Our leader in me theme this year is “Be a Leader and color our future!!” 3rd grade’s color is green! I look forward to a great year filled with fun and learning!

Parents, I post on this quite often! So please make sure to accept my blog subscription or subscribe! Also, your child will be taking home important notes next week, many will have to be signed and returned. I will be sure to have these notes on my blog as well, in case your child misplaces them!

Tomorrow 6/13/19!!!

Friendly reminder tomorrow for the class party!!

Students are to bring in their own drink (NO SODA, NO GLASS BOTTLES) and a junky snack. I will be providing pizza and dessert!

LOCKER CLEAN OUT!!! Please provide any extra bags, if you feel your child may need it for the clean out. I do have some but not a ton.

We are still in need of parent volunteers for stations. Ms. Tiba is allowing high school graduates to come help us, so if you know of any that might be available, please have them contact me: ahnatiuk@gmail.com.

Field Day Reminder!

Tuesday, June 11^th

9:00 – 11:35am 3^rd-5th

12:30 – 3:05pm Y5’s-2nd

 Each student needs to bring or wear the following:

• Athletic wear in the assigned class color if possible

Y5 – K = Yellow

1^st = Blue

2^nd = Red

3^rd = Yellow

4^th = Blue

5^th = Red

• Hat, if desired
• Athletic Shoes (no sandals/boots)
• Water bottle (labeled)
• Snack (labeled)
• Sunscreen applied before school. However, parents/guardians may come up to the school to re-apply before your students designated time.

We still need parents to volunteer for stations and to bring watermelon! Those volunteering will receive a lunch sponsored by the PTA.

The PTA will be serving cheese pizza, watermelon, and pretzels for lunch for the students; however, students are welcome to bring your own lunch instead. Students with lactose allergies should bring their medicine.

Class party provided by me! Please have your child bring a junky snack and a drink. No soda or glass bottles please.

Locker clean out! Please have your child bring in extra bags if you anticipate them taking a lot home!

LAST DAY!!

9:30 a.m.- 5th grade promotion ceremony.

11:45 a.m. dismissal!
