Math~ We finished the mid-module assessment. YAY! On to lesson 11, tomorrow.
Zearn- I showed the students last week’s report of how many lessons were completed and how I can see what time they are practicing Zearn. The expectation is 4 lessons a week. Only 40% of our class completed 4 lessons a week. Please make sure they are going on Zearn every night, especially if they feel they do not have a enough time in class. Zearn will increase their fluency and accuracy with everything in Math! It is an excellent tool that shows growth!!

Mid-Week Update: 9/18/19
Good afternoon families~
Here is your mid-week update.
Math~ The students started Zearn yesterday, in class. Zearn is the online component that goes with the Eureka Math. The students have an opportunity to strengthen their sprint and concept skills through this program. I expect students to work on Zearn-10-15 minutes daily! Students often times are given an opportunity to do this in class. However if not, it will need to be completed at home. I can track their minutes and times through the website. The students usernames and passwords are taped on the inside front cover of their planner. Please let me know if you have any questions!! I have already received positive feedback on how much fun it is!!! Two additional things to keep in mind: Students work at their OWN pace, and they will need headphones or ear buds to do this in class. So, please send them with your child. Thank you to those that already have!
Homework tonight: Lesson 6: Interpret the unknown in division using the array model. Must Do’s: # 1, & 3. Can Do’s: # 2, & 4. Challenge #5 & 6. Please encourage your child to try the challenge, if you feel they have a good grasp on the other problems! Link to video: https://embarc.online/mod/page/view.php?id=574
Families~ If you received a 1/2 sheet of paper in your child’s folder, please read and complete. This is in regards to online emergency forms. We are now only doing this electronically, NO MORE PAPER!! YAY! Please call the Lindbergh office if you have any questions.
Tomorrow the students will be taking home the Fire Safety field trip note and permission slip.
