Dear Families,

All middle school students were assigned summer learning using Khan Academy. We are aware of the recent issues with Khan Academy being removed from Clever.

In order to continue with your math summer learning minutes, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Dearborn Public Schools homepage
2. Go to Student Portal
3. Type khanacademy.org in URL and click enter
4. Your name or ID number will appear on the right corner of your screen, if not, follow the steps prompted.
5. Make sure you are using your Dearborn school’s gmail account and NOT your personal account.
6. If you can not view your minutes, your teacher will be able to retrieve the information in the fall.

*** Remember only 480 exercise minutes cunt to summer learning.

This has been one of the strangest years in all of my years of teaching. Thank you to all the parents who helped support their child’s online learning. Thank you to the students who took the responsibility to get their work done. I wish all of you the best as you move on to seventh grade.

The district has decided that we will be doing Khan academy minutes for the summer. This will be your first formative grade for your seventh grade math class.

384-479 = B

336-383= C

288 – 335 = D

Please come and pick up your student belongings from 12:00 to 1:30. You must be in your car with a parent. Drive down the hubbard side of the building. If you have any books from home to return to woodworth, please bring them at this time.

Also, the is not more new learning. Instead, from now until June 8, students can make up there missing work in all classes. Make sure when you complete a missing assignment, you email that teacher so your student connect can be updated.

The school is going to be passing out your belongings from your locker. Please see the attached document for your time to arrive. We are doing this by a square teachers. Looks like our team is on June 1 at 12 to 1:30. Ms Mawri’s a square is the only one at 1:30 to 3:00. Please adhere to the schedule so we can continue to practice social distancing.

Schedule for Picking up Materials

Hi everyone! This week is a short week and the lesson is pretty easy because you are already familiar with the area of certain polygons. I believe the only new formula will be the area of a trapezoid.

The math teachers picked short videos for you to watch (no questions with the videos this week). Then you will complete the ixl’s. Finally the quiz will open on Wednesday.

The topic of algebra is turned off because we are on geometry. If you missed anything from algebra, you cannot make it up in ilearn. If you are worried about your grade, you could make sure to complete any I Ready minutes that you are missing. By completing these minutes, your math grade will go up. Here is what you will see in i learn.

Since there are only a few weeks left, it is very important to complete assignments on time.

I have emailed/ called many students this week regarding missing work. All algebra missing work must be completed by Tomorrow, Friday, May 22.

All work from weeks 4 to 9 is due by this Friday, May 22.

This week is an algebra review week. I learn is set up so that you cannot take this weeks test until you complete all of the work and quizzes from weeks 4 to 9.

Friday, May 22 is the last date to make up any missing work in ilearn under the topic of algebra because then we will be moving on to our last topic of the year, geometry.

Don’t forget that on Tuesdays and Thursday’s at 2:00, you can log into i learn and click on the Crispin Big Blue Button. Here I will discuss this weeks new topic of the distributive property and answer any questions that you may have.
