Today in class, we will begin the hour by collecting our 5 World Religion Word Wall (MOST students turned this in already). We will then work on our meditation coloring sheets and All Around the World! Both the All Around the World and the Meditation coloring worksheet will be due Monday at the end of the class period when we return.

As a reminder, students must write the vocabulary word at the top, underline it, then write the definition, followed by drawing and coloring a picture! Good Morning!

I just want to thank everyone for being here the last couple of days, and those of you that have been absent, thank you for being responsible about emailing and keeping up! It is has been most helpful with the group projects, and tests. Please, if you wont be in the next few days you need to let me know ASAP.

Today in class, We will begin the hour by collecting our Chapter 9 Connections and Questions and then take our Chapter 9 Test, with ten minutes to finish out our Chapter 9 Test ( Very few finished yesterday – maybe 5 out of each hour). These grades will be available on student/parent connect later today. We will then work on our sloppy copy from our Daily Life in Ancient Egypt project. Most groups should be close to finishing their sloppy copy today and I would expect at least 7/10 of the title headings completed.

They will have to write 2 complete sentences about Daily life in Ancient Egypt under the topics of Family Life, Marriage, Food and Cooking, Cosmetics, Hair, Jewelry, Clothing, Housing and Furniture, and Government. They can get these two sentences from the Chapter 9 Cornell Notes. They can also make flashcards that have those titles on it and write the topic on the front and the two COMPLETE sentences on the back.This part of the quiz will be worth 20 points, add in Chapter 9 Vocabulary Quiz, and the Chapter 9 Cornell Notes will equal 30 points.

Yesterday, all students took their Chapter 9 Vocabulary Quiz, they can see the score on I-Learn. Tomorrow they will take a quiz that will be taken in class on Thursday and Friday. Good Morning!

Today in class, we will begin the hour by taking our Chapter 9 Vocabulary Quiz.  Since this quiz will be combined with our Chapter 9 Short answer test that we will take over two days on Thursday and Friday, the only way they can see the score is on I-learn, so they will be able to tell what score they received immediately after taking it. We will then review our Monday section from the Questions/Connections Worksheet. After, we will learn about Cosmetics, Hair and Jewelry in Ancient Egypt.

Homework:  1. Complete the Tuesday section from the Questions/Connections WS! 2. Read from your Daily Life In Ancient Egypt Packet Paragraphs 6, 7, 8. 3. 3Begin to study for the 2 day test from your Chapter 9 Cornell Notes! We will then read about Family Life, Marriage and Cooking in Daily Life in Ancient Egypt from our Daily Life in Ancient Reading Packets.
