11/15 – Hammurabi’s Code of Laws

Good Morning!

Reminders:

It was very nice meeting many of you last night! I appreciate you all taking the time to come into conferences! If I did not get a chance to meet with you last night, please feel free to email me at crechim@dearbornschools.org

If you will not be here on Monday or Tuesday next week please see me ASAP. I will need you to take next Tuesday’s Chapter 4-7 Test, which is 24 questions all matching ASAP. I do not want you to come back from break and forget it all!

1st hour bring in canned GOODS!!!!!!!

Today in class, students will be assigned a reading of an expert section based on their table number. They will be given each a few pages to read where they will find the main idea, and then write a level 2 and level 3 question on the notecard (look below for the table numbers and pages). We will learn about Hammurabi and his code of laws. We will take Cornell Notes over the laws and determine if they are fair or unfair and whether or not they could be used in the United States today. No answers are wrong as long as you back up the evidence!
