We will do a live meet up on the BigBlueButton on iLearn for anyone who has questions about assignments or justs wants to see some old faces. I have registered all students to the iLearn class. If you can’t make it because of your schedule it will not count against you.
A new activity log has been places in Google Classroom assignments under the heading Fitness Log. Please be sure to start recording your activity and write a short paragraph about your activity at the end of the week.
Hope all is well with everyone and that you had a relaxing week. As we get back to work you can expect to be contacted by your Advisory teacher so we can assess your ability to complete assignments. What we want to make sure that all students have the ability to access their assignments through the internet. If all students don’t have access to the internet the district will work on ways for students gain access to their assignments.
Please try to be active every day for at least 20 minutes. The governor says it is ok for you to be outside in your own yard with whomever you live with to get some activity, your body and your mind with appreciate it.
By now all students should have used the passcode that was sent to them a few weeks ago to sign up on google classroom. Up to this point we were not allowed to grade assignments, so I gave extra credit for any student who submitted their work. Today starts the 4th marking period and at this point we are still not allowed to grade work but we don’t know if this will change allowing us to use work submitted to be graded. We are waiting to see what direction the state gives us, so with that in mind I highly recommend completing the work that is assigned as it may eventually affect grades. I will try to keep assignment short (about 10 minutes) until I am informed of any new plan put in place by the state.
A Google Classroom has been set up for each class. Students should have received an invite email the morning of March 13. Please make sure to register for the class and complete assignments to help boost your grade. Assignments will be graded as EXTRA CREDIT helping a student’s overall grade. Not doing the assignments will not impact your grade in a negative manner.
From now until the end of the school year we might be heading to the great outdoors. If the temperature is above 40 degrees we might head outside to do some running and games. Students should have sweats to keep themselves warm.
