March 18

Hello Everyone!

I’d like to start with saying how proud I am of my students and how MOST were able to follow through with the instructions I have left. You guys are doing amazing. I’m not going to leave much work but I want to keep you moving in the right direction. Next week I have something different for the medical assisting classes that will review what we have learned about administering medication but will also go over new content. I hope you like it.

Please try to keep up with the work I’m giving you.

Also, I feel that communicating through REMIND is working great so I will continue unless we need this blog for much longer messages. With that being said, keep doing what your doing. I love communicating with you and helping when need be. I miss you guys!

Good Morning!

Just a few reminders for all of you.

The HOSA state finalists are all set and registered to travel to Traverse City, MI on April 26th.  There are 26 students attending this year and I have a good feeling that this is going to be one of the best competitions ever!  Please make sure you are practicing and preparing for your upcoming event.

Parent teacher conferences are coming up on March 23rd from 4 pm to 7 pm.  Please tell your parents to come and see the wonderful place you call school!  We love to talk with your parents too!  I promise I won’t say anything bad!

We will need volunteers to take parents on tours during parent teacher conferences.  We at MBCC use this time for recruiting purposes so there may be visitors in the building and we will need your help.  See Dr. Bayerl to sign up.

Have you considered going to help out at Oakwood Common?  Go to signupgenius.com and type in my email address.  Sign up!  It’s fun and easy and fulfilling too!  Plus, it counts as participation.

On March 27th we will have a real live pharmacy student come in to talk with you regarding a day in the life of…  It will happen 2nd hour.  Please see me if you are not in this class and you are interested in attending.

Also, there is an opportunity for  working parents to attend an evening Parent Talk Class with Margaret King-Ahmed. The first class is Thursday March 16th, 6:00-7:30 pm.  March 22,29, 30th are the other three dates. All classes are held at ASC in the Board Room. Please tell your parents about this wonderful opportunity!  It’s free.
