1.) Bell Work:
– In your own words write a brief description of what is going on in the political cartoon shown. 2-3 sentences
– Examine the political cartoon. What can we infer was the artist’s motive in labeling the medicine bottles with the names of several New Deal policies put in place by FDR?

1.) Bell Work:
How did the economic trends of the 1920s help cause the Great Depression?Think about… What happened with industry, farmers, and consumers?

2.) Begin research on your microargument and start crafting your writing.
Create a one paragraph microargument answering the question:
Which of the causes of the Great Depression had the most significant impact on the United States?
Research more causes than what we discussed.
Include the following:
Claim (“The cause that had the most significant impact on the Great Depression was…”)
– 1 to 2 pieces of evidence; quotes are great
Reasoning! How and why is this significant?
– 1-2 paragraphs in length in complete sentences
– Punctuation, spelling, and capitalization count!
