I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! Your child will be getting a new, STURDIER, homework folder tomorrow. In the back sleeve of the homework folder, I will place a listing of all of the specials and what time they take place during the day. I will still add the special for the next day on my blog.
I hope everyone read the letter from the school nurse regarding the Peanut Allergy we have in our classroom This will affect the treats we can share during holidays and birthdays. I will give you more information as time goes on, but please be aware that we will not be able to bring in treats such as cupcakes or cookies. Please email me if you are unsure of what to send in for your child’s birthday. A treat schedule with limited choices will be posted prior to any holiday party.
Tomorrow we have gym first thing at 9:00. Please make sure your child wears their gym shoes. We will also have library check-out at the end of the day. Your child is allowed to check out 2 books each week. They MAY take them home, but make sure they are reading them and remember to return both on Mondays.
2nd grade spelling words are as follows:

3rd grade spelling words are as follows:
bit, stick, will, ice, win, chart, solve, genre, Dearborn, friction.
Spelling words will be listed in your child’s planner each week. Please check for any spelling errors….the children enter the words themselves. (I walk around and check, but sometimes I miss someone) Your child will also have their spelling activities with the words listed. When your child does the activities, make sure they are choosing 3 IN A ROW…please initial, and ALL activities (except the ones involving physical activity) need to come back to school attached to the Tic-Tac-Toe paper. If not, your child does not get credit for it!
