Good afternoon! Wow! We made it through one whole week of online learning!

Your child needs to complete Lesson 9 math homework and lesson 9 on Zearn this weekend.

Please take some time to make sure your child is completing their homework everyday, I already have many students who are behind in their assignments. I posted all of the assignments on Parent Connect, so feel free to check out which assignment your child is missing.

I hope everyone enjoys the well deserved weekend and I’ll see your child back on Zoom at 9 am on Monday!!

Just a reminder that tomorrow is a half day for students. We will still meet on Zoom at 8:55 am, but students will only receive math instruction, then use the rest of the morning for their homework and Zearn.

Homework for today is a Reading Response, lesson 8 homework in math and lesson 8 on Zearn. Please make sure your child is keeping up with the homework, because they can get overwhelmed quickly once they start to get behind.

If you need any assistance with Schoology, please do not hesitate to contact me through Class Dojo. If you are not yet signed up for Class Dojo, please do so as soon as possible.

Please make sure to sign your child up on our sign up genius to get them set up for a reading diagnostic appointment.

Homework for today is ELA/Reading Response, Lesson 5 homework in the succeed book in math, and Zearn lesson 5.

Make sure your child clicked on the Writing Enrichment link in our Monday folder to see the slideshow and video presented by Ms. Alsaad.

Starting on Monday, September 14th your child will begin their special area classes from 1:00-1:54 pm. They should be able to click on these classes via Schoology.

Office Hours

Fourth grade teacher office hours are from 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  We will try to respond to emails and/or Class Dojo messages during these times if possible.  Please remember we are busy hosting Zoom meetings throughout the day, therefore we are unavailable during those times to respond back to parents or students.  If you send a message before or after office hours, we will respond back to you within 24 hours.

Good Afternoon! Thank you for your patience as we iron out any problems related to our online learning!!

Just a reminder: Your child needs to be in a quiet spot in the house sitting at a table or desk while we are engaged in our virtual learning. Please make sure that distractions, such as younger siblings, toys, etc. are placed away from your child doing virtual learning in an effort to help them concentrate.

For our work this afternoon we are going to revisit the reading response we wrote yesterday to make sure we included at least one piece of text evidence. We will also read for another 20 minutes and write a reading response answering a question from our Fiction/Non-Fiction question jar.

For math, we will work on our Problem Set for Lesson 2, Homework for Lesson 2 and Zearn Lesson 2. Some children did not complete Zearn Lesson 1 yesterday, so they need to complete that before they begin Lesson 2.
