I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!  Happy Mother’s Day to all of you wonderful mom’s out there!!

Tomorrow the 3rd graders will be going bowling for the end of the year field trip! If your child is a 3rd grader, they need to know their shoe size and will not need to bring a lunch tomorrow…we will be eating at Ford Lanes.

If your child is a 2nd grader, they will be going to either Mrs. Sabellico’s class or Ms. Al-Saad’s class for the first part of the day.

Tomorrow we will not have Gym or Library, due to the field trip.

Spelling words for this week focus on apostrophe’s used to show possession:

family’s, brother’s, doctor’s, kitten’s, grandmother’s.

Content words are:

singular, possessive, money, lumber, resources.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I missed blogging on Friday because my internet was down because of the windstorm.  Hopefully, everyone knows that homework for the weekend was to read 20-30 minutes each night (and also write a Reading Response).

Tomorrow we have Gym and Library.  Gym shoes must be worn and library books need to be turned in. Tuesday we will begin the M-Step test for the 3rd graders.  Second graders will spend sometime in Ms. Al-Saad’s classroom or Mrs. Sabellico’s classroom on Tuesday and Wednesday morning for this week and next.  If you have any questions regarding the testing, please feel free to call the Snow School Office.

Thirds graders who have not turned in their field trip permission slip and money, need to do that before the end of the week.  Thank you to the parents who have already sent it in…

Spelling words this week focus on contractions:

isn’t, she’s, you’ve, won’t, we’ll.

The content words are:

contractions, compare, contrast, copper, attack.

Good Afternoon!

Tonight for homework, the children need to update their reading logs (due tomorrow), finish their spelling activities (due tomorrow), study for their spelling test and read 20-30 minutes (with a reading response).

The third graders have a math worksheet on multiples that they have to complete and return tomorrow.

We will have the Bubblegum Challenge tomorrow along with Writing Enrichment.

Parents of 3rd graders: Please look for the M-step schedule in your child’s homework folder.  M-step starts next Tuesday, May 8th! Also, there is a field trip permission slip for the 3rd grade class trip.  Make sure you take a look at it!!
