SNOW ELEMENTARY PARENT TALK  SESSIONS

Increase achievement and decrease discipline issues with effective Parent Talk. Learn communication skills that empower, encourage self-responsible behaviors, self-motivation and character development. Learn practical skills to positively effect the social and emotional development of your children and family. Certificate of completion is awarded to participants who complete the course!

Parent Talk Sessions will be on Fridays in Snow School Media Center from 2:00pm-3:30 pm

February 1, 8, 22.  March 1, 8, 15, 22.

We were unable to take the NWEA today due to technical problems…maybe tomorrow? Homework for tonight is to read 20-30 minutes with a writing response and work on spelling activities.

Tomorrow we have Art and Media Enrichment.

Good Afternoon!  NWEA reading testing starts tomorrow! Please make sure your child is well rested and has eaten breakfast!

Homework: Math pgs. 18 and 19, begin spelling activities and read 20-30 minutes.

Tomorrow we have Gym.  Don’t forget gym shoes!!

Good Afternoon Parents!

This is a short week, since Friday is a half day for students (11:45 dismissal). Friday is the end of the marking period and teachers will be working on grades in the afternoon. There will be no school on Monday, January 21st due to the Martin Luther King holiday.

We have Writing Enrichment and Library on Monday.  Please make sure your child brings in their books for return.

This week’s spelling words focus on the /er/, /ur/, and /ir/ chunk:

churn, burn, clerk, jerk, third, bird, first, thirst, burst, turn.

Good Afternoon! Homework tonight is to read 20-30 minutes and write about what they read, math pages 13 and 14.  Spelling activities are due tomorrow and we have Music.  Please be on the lookout for a Field Trip permission slip in your child’s homework folder.
