We worked hard on our Math NWEA today! Some children finished, others are almost done. The 3rd graders have one more to do and they will be finished (Language).
Homework: Work on spelling activities. Please get children into the habit of reading each night. Bookbags will start coming home next week.

Our spelling words this week focus on the short /o/ and long /o/ sounds:
mop, lock, rock, poke, below.
The content words are:
north, south, east, west, setting.
Tomorrow we have Gym, gym shoes required!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! This week we will be taking the Math NWEA. Also, Friday is a half day for students, so they will be dismissed at 11:45.
Tomorrow we will have Library check out as well as Writing Enrichment. Please send in your completed surveys for our Free Lunch Grant and don’t forget the permission slips for both the Orchard and the Fire House. The Fire House field trip is free and requires no chaperones! If you are chaperoning the Orchard trip, make sure you get your background check as soon as possible….thank you!

Open House is Thursday, September 12th from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.

The Snow PTA is hosting a Bake Sale at the Open House on this Thursday, Sept. 12th and we need your donations! Bring in any baked good of your choice — store-bought or homemade — and the proceeds will go directly to the PTA to support our students and classrooms. A cart will be outside the office Thursday morning and donations can be brought in any time that day. Looking forward to a great night!
