A Message from our PTA

UPCOMING this week from the PTA:

  • Don’t forget Wednesday is Walk/Bike to School Day. Find the balloon-marked stations on either side of the school for kids to get a treat for walking or biking to school! Also, wear your school colors!
  • PTA meeting Thursday right after school at 3:45pm in the Media Center/Library. See you there!

Monday News

Good afternoon! Today for homework, please make sure your child reads and writes in their Reading Response Journal. Many children are forgetting to do the writing! It is VERY important!

The second graders will complete Math Lesson 2 homework. (hint: the centimeter cube they will need is on the back of the homework. They only need to cut it out to use it for measuring!)

Third graders took a test today, so no math homework for them.

We begin a new spelling lesson today. The words focus on the short /u/ sound: lunch, thump, bug, such, thunder.

The content words are: lakes, measure, tally, characters, text.

Tomorrow we have Gym. Don’t forget gym shoes!

What a great day to rest and relax. Rainy days are wonderful from time to time!

We will go to the library and pick out books tomorrow. We will also have Writing Enrichment. Third graders will take a mid-module assessment in math.

TGIF everyone! Please make sure your child reads 20 minutes each night and responds to their reading group reading.

The 3rd graders will be taking a math test on Monday, they need to study their study guide.

The 2nd graders will complete Unit 2 math lesson 1 homework.

Good evening parents! I was out today for training at the Administrative Service Center…I wanted to remind you that spelling activities are due tomorrow along with our field trip permission slips and money.

We also have popcorn orders that are due tomorrow. Fifty cents per bag!

We will have Music tomorrow. Please make sure your child is reading 20 each night! See you Friday!

Wednesday News

Good Afternoon! Please make sure your child is reading and writing in their Reading Response Journals. Our groups are going strong!

Homework: 3rd graders need to finish their mid module study guide and return it tomorrow. 2nd graders took a test, so no math homework tonight. Spelling activities are due Friday.

Tuesday News

Reminder: Tomorrow is a late start. School begins at 9:35 am!

Homework for tonight: Work on spelling activities, read (with a writing response), 2nd graders need to review their study guide, the test is tomorrow. 3rd graders are completing math lesson 10.

We are in need of band-aids in our classroom. If you are willing to donate a box, we would really appreciate it! Lots of boo-boos when we are having outdoor recess!

Greetings! We begin our new spelling activities this week! 3rd graders need to complete math lesson 9 while 2nd graders complete their Module 1 study guide. (Math test for 2nd graders will be Wednesday)

We started our reading groups! All students except 6, have reading and writing to do for homework.

Our spelling words for this week are:

each, met, meet, tell, rest.

Content words are:

motion, location, first, next, finally.
