Good Monday Morning!

Good Morning everyone! I hope everyone is doing alright. It is hard to stay focused at home, but please help your child remember to go on iready and zearn each day! Some children are doing a great job! Please make sure they are reading as well.

Ms. Alsaad (Writing Coach) may be posting assignments on her blog so here is a link to access it:

I hope everyone can find the time on Tuesday at 12:00 to view the teacher parade that will be passing through your neighborhood. Simply go out on your porch at 12:00 noon tomorrow, wait for the parade to pass by! Wave to your favorite teacher, we are thinking about you!

Take care everyone!

Good Morning!

I hope everyone is managing, this has been a long week! Most children are on iready and zearn and are remembering to post their reading response on google classroom

Just a reminder, your child does not have to turn in their reading responses each day. They can keep adding to the document thruout the school shutdown. If they have turned in their document they can “unsubmit” and continue writing on it. I will be reading them every day. Look for comments…

I will be emailing some parent individually, so check your email frequently!

Enjoy the beautiful day and have a great weekend!

Good Morning!

It is day 4 of our homeschooling! Hopefully, your child is reading and writing daily! Please don’t forget that your child can enter their reading response on Google Classroom. I have had 4 that have started and they have done a tremendous job!

Your child can still go out and play and get fresh air, but if it is raining, here is a great resource to get them moving:

I have heard that some children are spending “hours and hours” playing Fortnite. PLEASE limit these types of games and make them a reward for doing their academic work. We need to practice the habit “Putting First Things First” when it comes to our schoolwork! We don’t want our children doing the summer slide now, when we have made so much progress!

Take care of yourselves and feel free to email me if you have questions, comments or just want to vent!! We are all in this together!

Good Morning!

Thank you for all of your support!

Keep your child reading on iready and working on Zearn daily! The Principal also asks that you sign up for the school blog to learn any new updates regarding the shutdown!

Here are some useful links to keep the kids reading, enjoying math:

I will be checking iready reading and Zearn daily to make sure students are on track….have a great Wednesday!

Hello Again!

I have created a google classroom assignment for your child to do their reading response. Each child needs to go on Google Classroom (they know how to do it!) and create a document. They can add their reading response daily and I will be able to see it and make comments. We will start this tomorrow. Responses are due every Friday! Thanks for your support parents!!

Greetings!

I hope everyone is doing well! Again, I will be monitoring iready and Zearn online, so make sure your child is working on one lesson per day on Zearn and 30 minutes of iready per day. Please feel free to email me if you have any problems getting on to either of these websites. I am available to help!

I have signed up parents who are not on my blog. Please make sure that you agree to the terms, so you can receive my daily instructions. Please expect a phone call from me tomorrow if you are not on my blog by that time. I will also be checking in on students who are not actively online with iready and Zearn.

Hopefully, we can get back to school sooner rather than later. In the meantime, take care of yourselves and your family….

Good Morning!

I hope everyone is well!!

This week we need to keep up the good pace that we began earlier in the month. Parents and guardians can help in many ways.

First of all, try to limit any kind of screen time for your child to only academic work! Make sure your child is going to iready daily for 20-30 minutes (they should complete at least one lesson per day). The same goes for Zearn, your child should complete one lesson per day.

For reading groups:

If your child is in the Yellow Group, make sure that they continue to read Nathan Hale Patriot Spy. (2-3 pages of reading per day) They should complete this by the time we get back to school.

If your child is in the Orange Group, unfortunately we have just completed The School Mouse, but they can read a book of their choice from home or the library each day.

If your child is in the Green Group, they should work through Maps, Globes and Graphs each day until completed.

If your child is in the Red Group, we are on Chapter 19 in the book Holes. Your child should read a chapter a day until the book is completed.

Please make sure your child is doing a Reading Response in their journal each day as well, we will share these when we return to school.

Mobymax and Khan Academy is also available to children to keep them thinking and reading.
