I hope everyone is having a great weekend! For the students who made the PBIS party, please have them bring an electronic game labeled with their name. If your child does not have one, we will have laptops available for students to use.
We will have Art and Math Enrichment tomorrow.
Our spelling words this week focus on words with a final /el/:
channel, pixel, chapel, flannel, panel.
Our content words are:
divisor, dividend, quotient, remainder, division.
Just a reminder: Our field trip that was scheduled for this Friday, March 5th has been cancelled due to transportation issues. The money has been refunded to your child and a huge Thank You to the parents who volunteered to chaperone.
If your daughter expressed an interest in Engineering for Girls at U of M-Dearborn on March 18th and you are interested in driving and/or chaperoning, please email me by the end of the week.

It has been a long week with this cold, cold weather!! We will have our PBIS party on Monday, so if you would like to send in electronics for your child to play, make sure that your child’s name is on the game.
Our homework this weekend is Study Link 7.8.
If your daughter was one of the girls in my class to express an interest in Engineering for Girls at U of M-Dearborn on March 18th…we are in need of drivers and chaperones. If you are interested, please email me. We need private drivers for this activity.

The Dearborn Symphony concert was great! So was our own musician, Camden Akers!

Just a reminder that we will be going to the Performing Arts Center today to listen to the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra. I ask that all students dress nicely and bring gym clothes to change into later. We will still be back in time for lunch and gym will be after lunch.
Our homework last night was Study Link 7.7 and practice spelling words and multiplication facts. Make sure your child is still looking for the moon. Our moon project is due tomorrow!

Pennies for Pasta: Our last day to collect will be this Friday, Feb. 27th. We have been very supportive of the Leukemia Foundation and look forward to closing out this week with a record collection. Our total right now is $852.95!! Tons of thanks for your support!
PBIS Reward Party: Monday, March 2 2:45-3:15. Students may bring electronics from home for this reward day! We usually don’t allow tablets, ipads, ipods, Leapster, DS and other electronics at school, but this one half hour is different! Please enjoy, respect and be responsible with your electronics!

Field Trip Update: Unfortunately, due to transportation problems, we will not be able to take our field trip to the Imagination Station on March 5th. I will be returning everyone’s permission slip and money on Monday. I really appreciate all of the parents who volunteered to accompany us on the trip. Hopefully, we can set up a new destination and field trip soon! I know the students were really looking forward to our hands on science experience…

solid, liquid, gas, matter, heating, cooling.
Please make sure your child is reviewing their multiplication facts. We have added the 11’s and 12’s to our test, so make sure they are reviewing these as well!
