I am still taking donations for the PTA raffle basket for the picnic.  Unfortunately, I have only one item so far.  Not enough to make a basket.  If you can, please send in a donation for our basket.  The theme is “turtles”.

Hello everyone!  Nice cool day today…I hope everyone enjoyed it.

Tonight’s Homework:  Study Link 11.3, Social Studies Incentive Chart and study spelling.  Please review and sign your child’s Unit 10 math test.  Please have them return it to me.

Tomorrow we will have Art and according to the ABC countdown, Math Day.  We will play math games.

  • 3rd through 8th grade students: Teaching Renewable Energy with LEGOs Summer Camp – July 6 – July 8, 2015 – Annex, Room 1,2,3 (register here)

 

You can register online or register by phone (734) 334-1508. After you have registered for one of the Summer Camps, please print and fill out the Youth Health Form and the Wayne RESA Image Release Form before you come to camp. Both forms must be filled out and brought to camp on the first day. Additionally, please bring a printed copy of your insurance information. Thank you.

 

5180 Robotics Academy: Engineering Camp for Kids – 5180

Excite student creativity through technology! The Robotics Academy is a unique camp that challenges students to think outside the box using several group activities that require team participation, creative design, and problem solving skills. It will teach students to lead as well as to work together to overcome challenging obstacles. Teams of 2 or 3 students will also use state-of-the-art control programs to understand automation principles to design and build. These projects will each conclude with a competition among the participating teams. Students must provide their own lunch. The audience for this course is 6th through 8th grade students.

5179 Teaching Renewable Energy with LEGO (Summer Camp) – 5179

Explore renewable energy using LEGO’s newest most technologically advanced kits. Students will investigate energy supply, transfer, accumulation, conversion, consumption; and use measurements and data analysis to describe and explain outcomes through hands-on activities and exciting, real-life models. Students will experiment using energy from their own bodies and the three main energy sources – solar, wind, and water – to generate, store, and use power. The audience for this student summer camp is students going into the 3rd through 8th grade. Students must provide their own lunch.

Field Day Tomorrow!

Make sure your child dresses for Field Day  (sensible shoes) !  I will not be at school tomorrow, I have a meeting at the Administrative Service Center.  Mrs. Clark will be my substitute.  I hope you will join her and the kids for lunch (11:20) and field day activities.
