Tuesday News

Good Afternoon Parents!

Tonight’s homework:  Study spelling and multiplication facts.  Of course, your child should be reading each and every night for 20-30 minutes.

Tomorrow is our field trip to the DIA.  Please make sure your child brings their lunch in a bag LABELED with their NAME.  A disposable bag is the best, since children can dispose of it after they eat.  Please do NOT send a drink in a glass bottle, many get dropped.  Juice boxes or bottled water would be best.

Chaperones:  Your child is bringing home a letter for you.  Thanks in advance for volunteering.

Have a great night!

Beautiful Weekend!

Good Afternoon!

Please make sure you check your child’s Unit 6 math test.  If your child got a 1 or a 2 on the test, please sign and return it to me.  If your child got a 3 or a 4, they need to do corrections and return the test to me.  Students also need to study their new spelling words tonight.

Have a good evening!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I hope everyone is enjoying this very cold weekend!

We have President’s Day off.  We will go back to school on Tuesday.

Please make sure that your child is finishing up their Science Fair Project.  They are due Tuesday, February 16th.  We will begin presenting them to classmates this week.  The Science Fair will be on February 25th.

This week’s spelling words focus on words ending in /el/:

channel, pixel, chapel, flannel, panel.

The content words are:

divisor, dividend, quotient, remainder, division.

In addition to the Science Fair Projects being due, make sure your child is practicing division at home.  Many of the children are still weak in this area.  Mobymax.com would be a good place to have them practice.  If they still don’t have their multiplication facts memorized, they need to start with multiplication and work their way to division.

Tuesday we will have Gym and our library books are due.

Have a wonderful, restful weekend!
