I will see some of you at Parent-Teacher conferences tomorrow evening.  There will also be Literacy Night starting at 4:30.  Hope everyone can make it!

Tonight’s homework is Study Link 8.4 and spelling words.

Tomorrow we will have Gym and Library.  Make sure your child wears their gym shoes to school.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend…we have a busy four days coming up!

Our spelling this week focuses on /suffixes/:

honestly, friendless, government, beginning, sympathy.

The content words focus on Social Studies words:

Bill of Rights, citizens, responsibilities, freedom, elections.

Tomorrow we will have Art.  Tuesday we have a guest reader at 9:30 am, then Gym and Library.  Wednesday we will visit the Book Fair at 9:00 am, have Math Enrichment, Parent-Teacher conferences will take place for some parents between the hours of 4:00-7:00 pm.  There will also be Literacy Night on Wednesday night starting at 4:30 pm.  Thursday we will have Art and Music as well as a Leader in Me assembly put on by the 4th graders!  The assembly will be at 2:00 pm and will focus on Habit #4-Think Win-Win.  We will be off on Friday, through the following week and get back to school on April 4th.

Thursday News

Good Afternoon!  Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Your child will be bringing home their Science notebook and study guide tonight.  We will have a Science test tomorrow as well as the usual spelling test.

Please make sure your child brings in any missing homework or assignments by tomorrow.  The marking period ends at the end of the day.

We will have Gym on Friday, so gym shoes are a must.   We will also have a guest reader from Edsel Ford High School reading to us in the afternoon.

Literacy Night Information

Welcome to Literacy Night!

March 23, 2016

4:30-6:00 p.m

 

Please join us for 6 literacy rotations.  

Each rotation will last about 10 minutes and begins at:

4:30 p.m., 4:45 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 5:15 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.  

You may attend any rotation at any time that works for you and your family.  

Students must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Good Afternoon!

Tonight’s homework:  Study spelling and complete the Science Study Guide.  We will have a Science Assessment on Friday.  Also, the marking period ends Friday (this was a short one!) so make sure your child has turned in all of their homework.  If not, the zeros will be reflected on their report card.

Tomorrow we will have Art and Music.  Make sure your child brings their recorders to class.

Homework for tonight:  Study for spelling, Study Link 8.1, get Unit 7 math test signed and for those students who did not achieve a passing score, corrections need to be done on a separate sheet of paper and attached to the test.  Corrections are due tomorrow…
