Happy Thursday everyone!

I hope all of you and the kiddos are outside enjoying the beautiful weather! Gorgeous day today!!

Everyone is doing a great job going on iready for 30 minutes per day, working on Zearn daily and writing their reading response on Google Classroom!

Social Studies on Mobymax is due tomorrow!

Also, some of the kids have only turned in their graphic organizer for their opinion writing. If your child has not done their published piece of writing, they need to go on Google Classroom and create a document and publish. The assignment is not complete without the published piece.

Again, thank you parents for being so supportive during this time of lockdown. Hopefully, we can get back to normal soon!

Have a great day!

Reminder!! Pickup is Today!

SNOW MATH WORKBOOK AND  OPTIONAL SUPPLY PICKUP SCHEDULE

Dear Snow Families,

We will have a math workbook and optional supply (pencils/paper/notebook) pickup on Wednesday, May 6, 2020.  This will be a drive up process in the Snow parking lot off of Culver St.  In order to keep social distancing measures, we will have tables set up outside by class. Each table will have directions posted.  We recommend all parents wear masks and gloves and keep at least 6ft distance from other parents.

We are also asking all parents to return your child’s Book Bag(s).  We will have a box at the drop off table outside.

Tuesday Greetings!

Just a reminder about supply pickup tomorrow in the school parking lot. See Monday’s blog post for times for each grade level.

Also, a quick reminder about what the kids are supposed to be completing:

iready (30 minutes per day), zearn (one lesson per day), reading response on google classroom (one response per day), opinion writing final copy (due today), science activity if not already completed, and our new social studies assignment on Mobymax.

If your child is not sure how to access Mobymax, they need to go to clever, find the mobymax icon (whale) and click on it. Go to Social Studies and our Government lesson will be open for your child to work through. I will have access on my end to check their progress as they are working through the slides and quizzes.

As always, thank you for your continued support and if you have questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.

Have a great day!!

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL weekend we had! I’m sorry it can’t last!!

Please keep your child working on iready, zearn and their reading responses! Just a reminder, the science activity was due Friday. 13 students completed that activity. If your child did not, it is not too late! They can finish it and send me a picture of their completed project this week.

Also, the deadline for the opinion writing has been extended until Tuesday. Please make sure your child continues to publish and turns it in by that date!

I have assigned a new Social Studies Assignment on Mobymax! Please have your child log in to Clever, go to the Mobymax icon (whale) and click on the social studies app. The assignment on “Government” will then pop up. Your child will have all week to work through this assignment.

Thank you parents, for the support you’ve shown. With your help, your child will be ready to take on 3rd or 4th grade!

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me and we can work it out….have a great day!

Happy Friday! Happy May!

I hope everyone continues to be happy and healthy! Great job supporting your children! The kids are working hard at iready, zearn , writing and their reading responses!

A big shout out to more of the class who completed the Science Activity!Good job Helmy, Caden, Evelyn and Rianna!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

It’s Thursday!

I hope everyone’s health is continuing to be good!

Please make sure your child is continuing to work on iready, zearn, reading response and opinion writing. Our science activity is due tomorrow if you can! Thank you Sulaiman and Tim for completing their activity!

Keep up the great work and stay tuned for news on when kids can pick up supplies from school….

Have a great day!

Happy Wednesday!

Thank you again for your support during this difficult time! I know it is not easy to work from home and homeschool your children, but they all should have a schedule by now, and most are doing a GREAT job!

There are still a handful who are not remembering the daily routine: 30 minutes of iready per day, one lesson on Zearn per day, one reading response per day. Also they should be working on their opinion writing piece and remember….after the graphic organizer is done, they need to create a new document to begin publishing. The published writing should have more information than was put on the graphic organizer.

There was also a science activity on my blog that needs to be completed by Friday if possible. Fares and Alice completed theirs yesterday!

Thank you for your continued support parents! With your help, your child will be ready for 3rd or 4th grade!

Mrs. Wilcox also has some fun activities on her google classroom. She was not sure if everyone was signed up, so her class code is:

6nmtdcd

Have a great day!

Good Tuesday Everyone!

I hope everyone is in good health! I was really looking forward to our “Classroom Chat” on Friday, but unfortunately, some unscrupulous people have been “crashing” the meetings and the district has asked us to discontinue that form of communication.

The good news is that we will be training in a different means of communication which we hope to have up and running sometime in the next few weeks. I will keep you informed as time goes by.

I am glad to see that most of the class is working diligently and daily on iready, zearn , writing and their reading response! A big shout out goes to Ali Aljahmi and Nick Williams who have also watched the science video and completed the activity! Great job you two!!

If your child missed the Science Activity, it is attached to my Monday Blog Post.

If you have not received an invitation to Epic Books, please email me at chasen@dearbornschools.org, it could be that I do not have your correct email address. Have a great day!
