Hello Snow families!

When this year’s 5th-Grade class was dismissed on March 12th, little did they know they would be saying goodbye to their elementary school, along with many of the ‘lasts’ that were yet to come.

With the help of the school staff and the PTA, let’s come together and celebrate them and their years at Snow with a sign for their yard! Each sign is only about $5. You can donate at the secure link here. Congrats class of 2020!

We have a nice rainy day here to help our grass grow! I hope everyone is well….and hanging in there!

Please keep your child on a schedule with iready, zearn and their reading responses. We also have our second science activity which is due tomorrow!

I hope everyone is continuing to be happy and healthy! Everyone is continuing to work on iready and zearn, great job kids!!

Unfortunately, some children are not working on their reading response each day and some have not started their Social Studies assignment from last week! These things will continue to be added up for our fourth marking period, so parents please remind your children to complete assignments as quickly as they can!

The good news is that many students HAVE completed the social studies assignment from last week, are working on their Reading Responses each day! Kudos to them and their parents for getting them ready for 3rd or 4th grade!!

A shoutout to Alice and Caden who completed their Science Activity yesterday! Great job!

I hope everyone is doing well. Did anyone get to see the flyover by the Blue Angels today? What a great tribute to our healthcare workers!

The class is doing a great job on iready and Zearn. Most children are on the sites daily as they should! Great job!!

Many children are writing their reading response daily, however, some are not….I will email those parents whose child is not engaged in their reading response. It is a daily requirement for Monday-Friday. Please ask your child when they last did a reading response….it only requires a couple of sentences to let me know what they are reading about. It doesn’t require much effort. Just log in to google classroom, go to assignments, look for reading response journal, start writing!! Easy-Peesy!

Good Morning! I hope all moms had a great Mother’s Day!!

This week in addition to our 30 minutes of iready, zearn and our reading responses, we have a Science Lesson to complete!

The activity requires some preparation, so parents take a quick look at what you’ll need. If you will have a hard time getting the materials, please let me know. The materials would have been purchased by me to work through the activity in class, so I understand if you are unable to purchase them. I would just like to know that your child is watching the video and formulating “educated guesses” as questions are posed. Please send me a picture of their completed worksheet!
