Homework for tonight:  Work on spelling activities, HL 5.3 and practice multiplication facts.  Most children did not pass the x2 and x3 test, so they will retake it on Friday. (make sure they are practicing!)

Tomorrow we will have a Wolf Den and Media Enrichment.

Family Science Night

Dear Snow Families,

We are very excited to bring to Snow Elementary School our 4th Annual Family Science Night!  It will take place on Thursday, January 26th 6:00-7:30 p.m.  The evening will begin in the gym with a “Wacky Science” presentation by Scheer Magic Productions.  This will begin at 6:00 p.m. sharp, so please plan accordingly.  After the assembly, you and your family will have time to walk around the school to see the wonderful science projects that the students have accomplished.   We invite you to celebrate our success and support your student’s science skill development.

Today’s homework: Begin spelling activities.

If you happen to have an extra box of tissues, would you please send it in with your child?  We are down to our last box and need to replenish our tissue supply.  Thanks in advance!

Tomorrow we will have Music and our Language Arts NWEA test.  Please make sure your child gets plenty of sleep and a good breakfast.

I hope everyone had a fun holiday!  School starts back tomorrow, seems like we have had a long vacation…library books are due back and we will have Art and Math Enrichment.

The spelling words this week are:

drum, frying, price, train, track.

The content words are:

predict, multiplication, author, lumber, frequency.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday!!  Now that all of the festivities are over, I want to send you a friendly reminder about the Science Fair…individual projects are required for Third Graders.  Please make sure your child is beginning their experiments now!  The weeks will quickly go by and you don’t want your child to go into panic mode.

On another note, the M and M Challenge is on!  Make sure your child is getting on the Myon website and the Mobymax website as much as possible during their time off.  When we get back, we have an NWEA test the week of January 9th.  You will want your child to be prepared!

Calling all shovelers!

Let it snow!!!

As part of Snow Elementary Leader In Me Program, we are asking you, our fabulous students, to reach out in our community to help others.  If you’d like to be a part of the Snow Shoveling Club, simply volunteer to shovel a neighbor’s, relatives or your very own driveway and sidewalk.  Please be sure to have a parent with you and get permission of the community member before shoveling.  You are giving back to the community, so please offer to do this free of cost.

Each time you shovel someone’s snow, color a square on the chart sent home.  Once you have helped 5 members in the community, please return the chart to Mrs. Grizzell for acknowledgement of your leadership and kindness.
