I am looking forward to the weekend!

Homework for this weekend: Read 20-30 minutes each night.  Finish worksheet if incomplete.

For Valentine’s Day, if your child would like to bring in a treat please make sure all treats are individually wrapped.  For instance, if you send in cupcakes, please purchase the ones that are individually wrapped.  The same goes for cookies or candy. (We had a lot of waste during our last party, individually wrapped items can be taken home and enjoyed later.) Valentines can be exchanged, but leave names off, that way the children can quickly distribute them.

We had a blast at the Hands on Museum!  Ask your child what they learned!

Homework for tonight: Study for Unit 6 math test, study for our spelling test, finish writing about our field trip, and practice multiplication facts.

Tomorrow we will have Music.

Homework for tonight: spelling activities and study for the Math test on Friday!

Tomorrow we will have our Field Trip.  Make sure your child packs a bag lunch labeled with their name.  Chaperones, you have a letter coming home with your child telling you about the trip tomorrow.  Please make sure you look for that in your child’s homework folder.

We should be back in time for gym, so make sure your child wears (or brings) gym shoes.

The spelling words this week focus on homophones:

aunt, ant, blew, blue, eight, ate, waist, waste, past, passed. (no content words this week)

Homework for tonight: Homelink 6.7 and begin spelling activities.  Also, make sure your child is working on their multiplication facts.  Each Friday your child has the opportunity to get into the “Bubblegum Club” by passing a timed multiplication test!

Tomorrow we will have Music.  Thank you to all that sent in Field Trip permission slips and money…I have heard from a few more and I know you are sending it in tomorrow!  (If you volunteered to be a chaperone, please make sure your background check is on file in the office)

A great day if you are a football fan!  Enjoy the game, but don’t let your little ones stay up too late!

Tomorrow is our library day, make sure your child remembers to bring in their library books!  We also have Art and Math Enrichment…if anyone has newspapers they are finished with, Mrs. Zechar needs some for paper Mache art projects.  Please send them in with your child.

Field trip permission slips and money are due on Monday…thank you to those who have already submitted it.  Remember, if you are a chaperone, a background check needs to be done. (Those of you who already had one done for the last field trip are good to go!)
